Official quote: 'Maximum dimensions include wheels and handles.' No weight limit applies to carry-on baggage, but 'it must be light enough that you can store it in the overhead bin without assistance' (official wording). linearIn (46.46) is DERIVED (l+w+h sum in inches) - Air Canada does not publish an additive linear limit for carry-on, it enforces the three individual dimension maximums instead (checked via automated carry-on baggage sizers at pre-security/pre-boarding).

Official page states 'Personal item Maximum dimensions (D x W x H): 33 x 43 x 16 cm/13 x 17 x 6 in'. Air Canada's lowest fare is 'Economy Basic'. Official wording (carry-on page): 'Economy Basic fares purchased on or after January 3, 2025, allow for only one (1) personal item on board when travelling on some itineraries' - specifically within Canada, to/from the U.S. (incl. Hawaii/Puerto Rico), and to/from Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. 'Any additional baggage (such as a carry-on bag or suitcase) will need to be checked in for a fee at the airport.' Exception: 'If you're connecting onward to an international destination on an Economy Basic fare, your ticket allows you to bring one (1) standard carry-on bag and one (1) personal item on board.' Star Alliance Gold members get 2 carry-on bags across partner carriers regardless of AC fare.
